Was kicked out of our first barn because Sting was " too old " , he got so sick from the stress of the move where the vet told me he had a week to live. We thought he had neurological disease but he developed the symptoms from the move and with time he thankfully got better. I spend thousands of dollars a month on his shots, supplements, medicines and vet visits to keep him healthy. He canters in his pasture, rolls in the dirt, neighs when he sees food and is so happy and perky. He wasn't gaining weight because the barn wasn't listening to the vet and feeding him the amount he needed. The vet recommended giving him a boost of steroids. They told us how he was becoming more nippy and to ask the vet what could be causing it that they can't have a horse there that could possibly bite a child. ( completely understand that. His stall window is up and I offered to get him a basket muzzle for the pasture. That way no accidents could happen ) the vet said it was because of the steroids he got and it would wear off within a few weeks. But since they don't use my $825 board to pay for a stable hand and use strictly volunteers who have zero experience with horses it's still a risk because they have no idea how to handle horses. Now we are being kicked out of the new barn because they think I should put him to sleep, that I'm ridiculous for prolonging his life and I need to stop doing things to keep him healthy and living a long life for my own mental stability. The insanity of that is unreal. A barn that specializes in therapeutic riding for kids with mental disabilities and then they speak to their paying boarders like this is unacceptable. My horse is not suffering. He eats all his food and begs for more. He neighs every time he sees me walk in. He rolls around in the dirt and comes running up to me in the pasture when he sees me walk up to the fence. I ride him every night! He's 27 years old! Does that sound like a horse that needs to be put down?? For a barn that works with special needs children everyday why wouldn't they understand that some horses are special needs and need a little extra care? They are kicking my horse out knowing that moving him will KILL him!!

Sweet Dakota had horrible chemical burns. He had surgery to remove his abscess, and with the help of @curicyn his burns are healing so amazingly well. I'm amazed by how well this stuff worked. He has one little spot left that is still healing but the progress is incredible! 😍 thank you @curicyn for donating your products to help with his inflammation, burns and scarring!
I love him so much! It's hard not to keep this one 🤦🏽♀️☹️😍🐶
